Setup Guide
This section explains how to set up the ADA P1 Meter device in a few simple steps.
1. Connecting the Device
- Connect the ADA P1 Meter to the smart electricity meter’s RJ12 (P1) port.
- The device can be powered by:
- The electricity meter itself (if supported), or
- Via micro-USB cable using an external 5V power source.
Warning: Never use both RJ12 and USB power at the same time! This can damage the device.
2. First Startup
- When the device powers up, the blue LED will blink three short times.
- It will then automatically launch a Wi-Fi hotspot named
okosvillanyora.hu
.
3. Configuring Wi-Fi Connection
- Connect your phone or computer to the
okosvillanyora.hu
Wi-Fi network.- Password:

- The setup page will appear automatically on most devices. If not, open this address in your browser:
http://192.168.4.1
4. Selecting Your Home Network
On the setup page:
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password.
- (If you have a cloud account) Enter your email address and password.
- Save the settings.
The device will then automatically reboot and connect to your Wi-Fi network.
5. Verifying the Connection
- After connection, the LED will show a steady blue or blinking blue light to indicate data transmission.
- The device is accessible on your local network at:
http://okosvillanyora.local:8989
If the .local
address doesn’t work, use the IP address from your router’s DHCP client list.
6. Resetting the Device (Optional)
If you entered incorrect data or want to reconfigure the device:
- Press and hold the RESET button for 10 seconds.
- The device will reboot into hotspot mode.
- You can repeat the configuration steps as described above.
Note
After setup, the device automatically starts real-time data transmission. The data is available via the web interface, or in JSON/Telegram format for developers.
