OTA Update
Automatic Firmware Update
The ADA P1 Meter device supports OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates, allowing updates to occur automatically without any user intervention.
Update Process
The device checks for new firmware versions every time it restarts from the following server:
https://okosvillanyora.hu
If a new version is available, the ADA P1 Meter will:
- Automatically start the download.
- Download the
.bin
firmware file in chunks over a Wi-Fi connection. - During the download, the blue LED blinks rapidly and irregularly to indicate progress.
- After downloading, it will automatically install the new firmware.
- Finally, the device will restart, now running the updated firmware.
How long does it take?
The speed of the update depends largely on the strength of the Wi-Fi signal and the stability of the internet connection. The whole process usually takes 1-2 minutes.
Important Notes
- Do not turn off the device during the update!
- If the download is interrupted, it will retry on the next reboot.
- After the update, all settings will remain intact (they won’t be deleted).
