OTA Update

Automatic Firmware Update

The ADA P1 Meter device supports OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates, allowing updates to occur automatically without any user intervention.

Update Process

The device checks for new firmware versions every time it restarts from the following server:

https://okosvillanyora.hu

If a new version is available, the ADA P1 Meter will:

  1. Automatically start the download.
  2. Download the .bin firmware file in chunks over a Wi-Fi connection.
  3. During the download, the blue LED blinks rapidly and irregularly to indicate progress.
  4. After downloading, it will automatically install the new firmware.
  5. Finally, the device will restart, now running the updated firmware.

How long does it take?

The speed of the update depends largely on the strength of the Wi-Fi signal and the stability of the internet connection. The whole process usually takes 1-2 minutes.

Important Notes

  • Do not turn off the device during the update!
  • If the download is interrupted, it will retry on the next reboot.
  • After the update, all settings will remain intact (they won’t be deleted).
