Factory Reset
If the ADA P1 Meter device cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network (due to an incorrect password or weak signal, for example), it will automatically restart every 30 seconds.
In this case, the blue LED will blink three times on each reboot, indicating the system is starting.
When should you perform a reset?
- If you entered an incorrect Wi-Fi password during setup.
- If the Wi-Fi network is no longer available.
- If you want to connect the device to a different network.
- If the device keeps restarting and you can't access the web interface.
Reset Steps
-
Observe the device's behavior.
If the blue LED blinks three times every 30 seconds, it's likely that it cannot connect to Wi-Fi. -
Wait for the 3 blue blinks.
This indicates the device has rebooted and the setup software is running. -
Now press and hold the RESET button:
- For at least 10 seconds, or
- Until the blue LED blinks three times again
(This ensures the device enters reconfiguration mode)
-
The device will then reboot into hotspot mode, and the
okosvillanyora.hu
Wi-Fi network will appear again.
The password remains12345678
. -
From here, the setup process is the same as the initial installation.
Connect to the Wi-Fi, openhttp://192.168.4.1
in your browser, and enter the new network credentials.
Tip
If you're not sure when the reboot cycle starts, just watch the LED, and start holding RESET right after the three blinks end.
This way, you'll hit the right timing for the reset.
How do you know it worked?
If the okosvillanyora.hu
Wi-Fi network reappears after the reset, the device is ready for configuration again. The setup interface will launch automatically, or can be accessed via http://192.168.4.1
.
The reset does not erase the device’s firmware, only the configuration data (Wi-Fi, cloud account). Saved data (if any) and the operating logic remain intact.
